South Stoke Barn WeddingsCordelia & Dan
Her’es Cordelia and Dan’s wedding at South Stoke Barn. They were married at St Nicholas’ Church in Arundel before heading to their reception at the Barn itself.
The barn, one of just five built on farms around Arundel by the Duke of Norfolk in the late 1800s, is the only one left in its original form. Most of the others have been converted into houses. It has remained virtually unchanged since it was first built and features timber beams on the upper floor that create a stunning backdrop for any type of dining event, with seating for up to 120 guests. The ground floor has an open-fronted reception area that leads to landscaped lawns with outdoor seating. Events are only held at the barn from April to September, when the weather is warm and South Stoke comes alive.
As the season blossoms, the fields and hedgerows burst into life, providing a beautiful natural setting for events at the barn.
The staff were always available to assist during the day. The barn is only used for one wedding per week and is available for decorating and styling from midweek to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience. In addition to hosting weddings, the barn also hosts other events throughout the year, such as theatre productions, art exhibitions, and charity fundraisers for the village church, St. Leonard’s.
