Lizzie and Alex’s wedding at Wonderland Sussex in Henfield was nothing short of magical. Set within the gardens of a private household, their festival-style celebration was a blend of natural beauty, personal touches, and an effortlessly joyful atmosphere. With views stretching to the South Downs and a tranquil lake as the centrepiece, the venue was a true paradise.
The day began with Lizzie getting ready in the picturesque Lakeside Retreat, while Alex prepared for the big moment in the charming Wendy House. Their outdoor ceremony by the lake was both intimate and breathtaking, surrounded by the peaceful ambience of the gardens.
Dinner took place in a beautifully decorated marquee, where guests enjoyed a lively yet elegant atmosphere. As the sun set, the celebration moved into the After Party Barn for an evening of music and dancing. The transformation of the barn into a party space was a masterpiece by The Arabian Tent Company, adding to the day’s seamless flow.
Lizzie and Alex’s fun-loving personalities shone through in their dessert choices – a Colin and Connie the Caterpillar cake paired with a dazzling array of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. It was a sweet-tooth’s dream and a hit among their guests.
I was spoilt for choice with their photos with endless spots across the property offering stunning backdrops, from the serene lakeside to lush garden pathways. Every detail of the day reflected the couple’s unique charm and love for each other, making it an unforgettable wedding to be at.
