Wedding at God's Own Junkyard

Attending Alanna and Lee’s wedding at God’s Own Junkyard in London was a truly memorable experience. Alanna prepared for the day in the Earl of Bolingbroke suite at Batty Langley’s on Folgate Street, London. We then travelled to the venue in a classic white London cab, setting the tone for a day that seamlessly blended tradition with vibrant modernity.

God’s Own Junkyard, located in Walthamstow, is renowned for its eclectic collection of neon signs and art pieces. The venue’s kaleidoscope of colours provided a unique backdrop for the entire wedding, from the ceremony through to the reception—a rarity, as most events there are typically limited to just the reception.

The overwhelming array of neon lights created an atmosphere that was both electric and intimate. Each corner offered a new opportunity for photographs, with the vibrant signs illuminating the joy and excitement of the day. The neon glow added a distinctive charm, making every moment feel like part of a cinematic experience.

The celebration was made even more special by the presence of familiar faces from my school days with Lee. Catching up with old friends amidst such a lively setting was both nostalgic and heartwarming. The informal street food dining allowed for relaxed conversations, while the speeches around the cake added a touch of tradition before the couple cut into it.

Experiencing a full wedding at God’s Own Junkyard was truly unique. The venue’s vibrant energy, combined with the personal connections shared, made Alanna and Lee’s wedding a standout event. One that was both a visual feast and a heartfelt reunion.
