Downing College
Nicola & Jack
Nicola and Jack’s wedding at Downing College, Cambridge was nothing short of enchanting from start to finish. The day began with Jack preparing in one of the college’s historic guest rooms, while Nicola and her bridesmaids added the finishing touches at the University Arms Hotel. Excitement filled the air as a beautiful 1955 Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire swept Nicola to the college chapel, turning heads along the way.
Stepping inside the chapel, guests were greeted by the hush of anticipation and the timeless beauty of stained-glass windows. The ceremony itself felt both intimate and grand—an elegant union perfectly suited to the College they knew and loved. After heartfelt vows and joyous applause, they led everyone onto the College Hall lawn for their reception. The laughter of friends and family mingled with the clinking of champagne glasses, as summer breezes carried the promise of celebrations still to come.
Dinner took place in the magnificent College Hall, where speeches alternated between emotional tributes and witty banter. Once the last toast was raised, a live band set the night alight with spirited music that had everyone on their feet. Later, beneath Cambridge’s starry skies, we captured a few more photographs that encapsulated the magic of the evening. It was a day full of sophisticated charm, heartfelt affection, and just the right amount of revelry—an unforgettable chapter in Downing College’s storied history.
