Here is Sam and Simon’s wedding at Chateau De Lacotse at the Dordogne Valley in France. Their mid July day was one of cloud-free blue skies, hot air balloons and late-night partying.

Simon used a Gite situated down the road from the Chateau to get ready in while Sam was on site with her family and bridesmaids.

Their ceremony was outside, overlooking the beautiful Dordogne Valley and their two dogs were there with them throughout.

Having a wedding in France is much more laid back than in the UK, time passes slower and there’s no rush or schedule to stick too rigidly to. In the evenings, dinner can last well into the night and the dancing always starts later.

The Chateau de Lacoste has a wonderful high view across the Dordogne valley and in the evening it looks spectacular.
