The Tithe Barn, Petersfield
Steph & Dave

There’s something about a barn wedding in October. For Steph and Dave’s wedding, I was at the Tithe Barn in Petersfield.

I was super surprised when I saw how big it was inside, the roof beams soar really high and give an enormous sense of space.

This was a day of falling leave, fair weather and beer pong. I had a lot of fun and even though I’m familiar with a lot of Barn wedding venues, the Tithe Barn in Petersfield was definitely a unique one for me.

Here’s some more photos from the day:

The Priory Barn Little Wymondley
Rebecca & Pete

On Rebecca and Pete’s wedding day we had the most unpredictable weather. It was sunny to start, then it rained so hard during the ceremony (St Mary’s in Meppershall) that we went to do group photos inside (only for the sun to pop right out again) and at The Priory Barn the rain had a rather dramatic effect on the large group photo (you’ll see what I mean further down).

Suffice to say, the changeability kept everyone pin-sharp and on their toes but it didn’t get in the way of a great time. The Priory Barn arn was big enough to swallow everyone up and protect them from the elements. Later on in the day, we got some amazing payback with their evening photos near twilight.

They went straight from their first dance headlong into a Kayleigh where everyone got involved and it secured a wonderful end to the day.

Brookfield Barn
Lauren & Tim

Here’s Lauren and Tim’s late August wedding at Brookfield Barn in West Sussex. It was a wonderful outdoor ceremony with fair weather. They were both so excited and looking forward to the wedding in the months leading up to it and Lauren was applauded down the aisle!

After dinner, we took some time out to visit the bridge and grounds around Brookfield Barn for so more photos before heading back inside for the first dance.

Here’s some more of their day:

Bassmead Manor Barns
Zara & Paul

Remember that once in a hundred years heatwave we had in February? Well, it turns out Zara and Paul had impeccable timing in planning their wedding day to fall right in the middle of it.

They were married at Bassmead Manor Barns near Cambridge with everything taking place there.

I’d not been there for a few years and still remember it as the Rickety Barns that used to consist of the ceremony barn and a marquee. Now though it’s had a full refit and refurbishment complete with new buildings to cater for all and any who choose to get married there. It’s completely different now!

The Ashes Barn Staffordshire
Bethaney & Chris

The Ashes Barn in Staffordshire is one of those lovely and welcoming wedding venues that suits a relaxed, fun and informal vibe perfectly and this was perfect for Bethaney and Chris’ wedding in September.

There were lots of places to kick back and enjoy the day. At one end we had the high ground overlooking the landscape with the cosy, cobbled reception area at the other.

This was a rustic, homemade wedding with personal touches everywhere.

Southend Barns
Amy & Karl

Feeling cold? Here’s Amy and Karl’s wedding from the end of May to warm you up! Their wedding at Southend Barns was a non-stop party from beginning to end.

They had an outdoor ceremony with the most spectacular flowers to compliment it with the star of the show being their dog, Brian who led them out after.

This was also a scene of bouquet toss carnage with a level of aggression I’ve not seen at a wedding. Thanks in part, to bridesmaid Rachel. Nice one Rach.

Amy and Karl rocked out to  Ant and Dec’s classic ‘Let’s get ready to Rumble’ before heading out for some early evening photos. I had such an awesome time, I’ve lots of fond memories!

Farbridge Barn, Chichester
Laura & Matthew

Hi everyone, I’m back. 2017 has been a crazy year with so many weddings that I’ve not written up any of them until now as I needed to focus on editing. I now have some free time so will be writing up this year’s awesomeness with a view to  keep you all warm this winter. Stay tuned, but with added brrr.

Laura and Matt’s wedding in early April (I said it had been a while) at Farbridge Barns was a thoughtfully planned, colourful and detailed day. I started at Laura’s parents and was lucky to have lots of space and light to work with while Matt and the guys were getting ready at Farbridge itself. I’ll not forget how awesome Dad’s playlist was in every room as I worked, or the free cake and the company of Laura’s family dog as well as, to some extent, the goldfish. Who I named Nigel.

As soon as Laura was in her dress I made like a crazy person over to Farbridge where the final touches were being put into place and there we waited for Laura’s arrival in a VW Beetle and everyone else via Camper.

I’ve always loved the light and styling in the Farbridge ceremony area and with Laura and Matt’s additional decor it set the stage for a pretty special chain of moments that led to their first kiss as a married couple.

Confetti followed as did photos outside in a ‘it just happened to be there’ rapeseed field which injected some bursts of colour into the background.

Good times.

After dinner we had a little bit more photo time, the bouquet went into orbit and we all got ready for their first dance.

The level of detail at their wedding was immense, it complimented
